About Trove and the VISTA Libraries
Trove is a document publishing software package that
ensures users have access to reliable and up to date
information at all times. It is presented to the
user in a library format, with shelves and folders
and documents,
complete with a contents list. It is intuitive and
easy to use and no formal training should be required.
Documents
have been presented in a structured, and easy to
use format. The powerful search engine provided
within
the Trove software, allows swift and precise location
of the chosen subject matter. There are also numerous
links throughout each library to assist in navigating
through the system.
Instructions on how to get the best from VISTA can be
found on the document Using VISTA, located on all libraries
- including the Demonstration Library, in the folder
'Introduction, Welcome and how to subscribe'.
Updates
Subscribers to the Windows version of VISTA currently
receive updates by DVD-ROM every other month. Subscribers
to the web-enabled version will be pleased to learn
that library updates will be carried out up to
five times
a week, ensuring that VISTA is the most up to date
product of its type available.
Status of the Legislation
Consolidated versions of all EC Directives and ECE
Regulations (where amendments exist) are now included
within the
Handbook. Also included are all non-confidential
VCA Technical Interpretations, with dynamic links
between
these and the individual relevant standards. Availability
Subscribers to the Windows version are currently
provided with full access to the web-enabled version
at no extra
charge. An alternative 'web-only' service is also
available at a reduced charge. An outline of the
service and the
costs involved can be found on the document 'Introduction,
costs and how to subscribe'. To get to this document,
click on the above 'Demonstration Library' link,
